- Official NoticeI'm officially requesting the OIBC get written answers to three questions that were voice at the OIBC field trip to Kawaiaho Chuch Likeke project as I attended and was present.Firstly, I Michael Kumukauoha Lee officially request that the Hawaii State OIBC ask the Kawaiahao Church trustees answer by Hawaii State law mandates the OIBC to deal with Hawaiian Iwikupuna requesting written answers to the questions.Why were glass from children s coffins and coffins were dis-guarded and thrown away in the accusations of Kalai who claimed to have written documentation to these actions.Did this occur and what was the reason for throwing these materials away.The question from my blood cousin Amelia Gora why were graves removed in the Likeke Hall project area site foot print that were clearly marked by grave stones from my family of Kalola that Amelia claimed too be illegal.Why was this done breaking the law? This needs too be answered in writing which I'm requesting as a beneficiary of OHA and a citizen and a Hawaiian Cultural Practitioner recognized in First Circuit Court. of the US and Hawaii tax payer.And Michael Kumukauoha Lee's question what is the time period of desertification of the active cemetery and when are they going to pour the concrete for the foundation? Once the Christian level has been removed I have demonstrated in the 1810 map 10 years before the arrival of the New England based missionary's arrival in this area which I had given to the OIBC on 11, 2012 meeting on Wednesday that Kinau and Queen Keopualani had village complex very near by were retainers would be buried upon their deaths in the Kawaiahao land area because the shoreline was coral reef ancient deposits.I have officially requested in this meeting and in this email the a Hawaiian Archeological survey be done in conjunction with OHA to determine and insure that no ancient Hawaiian iwi will be crushed or destroyed being in eminent harm by the pouring of the concrete for Likeke take place.The OIBC has the mandate under Hawaii State law to protect Hawaiian iwikupuna once Kawaiahao decertification their cemetery takes place ass non active. Meanwhile Lopaka says to both of them, "F... You" and and exchange of F words went back and forth and after all of that, the bill was killed...(the bill had to do with transferring Iwi to Kahoʻolawe) because of Malama/Brickwood attitude towards the brothers Asam...My heros. Amelia Gora hi Dwight...I like your take on the event....too bad it wasn't caught on tape/film....it was a pretty shocking time because Solomon's face was beet red, Galuteria was VERY LOUD! and I was distracted by my cell phone going off......glad the Asam's were there...and they have been assigned Protective Order's by us because the incidence occurred on our families properties - Keoni Ana/ John Young Jr. lands..... because a researcher in the past was arrested due to OHA/Office of Hawaiian Affairs and charged with terrorist threatening --has to do with Machado, et. als. and he spent time in prison....,placed in solitary confinement and is not the same.....he was a political prisoner and forced to live in solitary for a long time.....his name is Kealoha Kuhia/Glenn Kuhia and everyone should know what OHA Trustees, et. als. has done to a Kanaka Maoli who was dealt some injustice......and then there's Bumpy Kanahele who used to be aggressive....thrown into solitary in jail and he changed......not the same.....then there was Lorenzo calling himself Kamehameha VI who was transferred 18 times in one year from prison to prison after being charged over time and given a four (4) year sentence.....then there's Raymond Kamaka who was charged for tax evasion and thrown in prison....all political prisoners.....Kamaka was wrongfully charged for he is one of Kamehameha's descendants too..... do Royal Families pay taxes ? Measuring 54 feet by 22 feet, the structure was designed to seat 300. As the congregation continued to grow, and in some cases as the result of fire or severe wind storms, three more thatched structures were erected to replace their predecessor. It was not until 1837 that the gathering of materials for the great stone house of worship begun.
The estimated cost was $30,000. Kawaiaha‘o Church has witnessed much history. Within its walls the kingdom's royalty prayed, sang hymns, were married, christened their children, and finally laid in state. On the grounds surrounding the church are buried a number of original missionaries. The 9/11 tragedy found many in prayer in the sanctuary.
Mechanics arrived with the clock in 1850 and preparations were made for its installation - King Kamehameha III was selected to supervise the task. The clock, which tolls the hours, still operates on its original machinery, which four generations of the Mahoe-Mulford family have maintained. As you enter the sanctuary, you will see the royal pews, located to the right and left. Within these enclosures stand four kāhili(feather staffs), symbols of royal rank. Kings and queens of an era gone by sat in these pews.
